Safety at Sea. Responsibility in Every Voyage.

Upholding the highest standards of safety, reliability and environmental performance across our offshore support fleet.

Responsible Business

Our Approach to responsible Business

Stanford Marine operates in some of the most demanding offshore environments, where uncompromising standards of safety, reliability and environmental stewardship are essential. Our clients depend on us to support their critical offshore operations without incident, and we hold ourselves accountable for the safety and wellbeing of every seafarer in our fleet. These responsibilities define our approach to sustainability, shaping how we manage our vessels, develop our people and conduct our business for the long term.

HSEQ Excellence

HSEQ at the Core of Every Operation

Protecting the health and safety of our crews is the overriding priority in every voyage, charter and offshore operation we undertake. Our vessels are maintained to rigorous technical standards, our services consistently meet the quality and performance requirements of our charterers, and every practicable measure is taken to safeguard the marine environment. Stop Work Authority is central to our onboard risk management, with every crew member empowered, and expected, to halt any operation where conditions are unsafe.

Certified Systems, Proven at Sea

Our integrated management systems, certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, provide a robust framework for every aspect of fleet operations, from planned maintenance and crew competency to marine operations and client assurance. Hazards are evaluated and mitigated through formal risk assessment prior to each operation, and key performance indicators are subject to regular review. Findings from vetting inspections, audits and incident investigations are rigorously analysed to drive targeted improvements across the fleet.

Sustainability Framework

Environmental, Social and Governance

Sustainability at Stanford Marine is guided by internationally recognised Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and integrated into the way we operate, maintain and crew our fleet. Our efforts are directed where we can make the greatest difference: reducing the environmental impact of our vessels, supporting the wellbeing and development of our seafarers, and upholding integrity in every aspect of our business.

Protecting the environment through responsible operations

ENVIRONMENTAL

Protecting the environment through responsible operations

As vessel owner and operator, we focus our environmental efforts on the factors within our direct control: the technical condition and efficiency of our fleet, the environmental practices of our crews and the accuracy of the emissions data we report. While operational profiles are largely determined by our charterers, we work closely with them, sharing vessel performance data to support more efficient operations.

Key initiatives

  • Quantifying and disclosing Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions across the fleet.
  • Applying SEEMP Part II on a voluntary basis to drive vessel-specific energy-efficiency planning and emissions reporting.
  • Preventing marine pollution through rigorous waste segregation, garbage management and spill response preparedness on every vessel.
  • Evaluating energy-saving technologies and efficiency upgrades for the fleet, informed by real-time vessel performance data.
Investing in our people and communities

Social

Investing in our people and communities

Our seafarers are fundamental to the successful delivery of every operation we undertake. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive and respectful working environment on board, complemented by structured career progression, continuous professional development and meaningful engagement with our shore-based leadership.

Key initiatives

  • Reinforcing a robust onboard safety culture through regular drills, toolbox talks and the open reporting of hazards and near-misses.
  • Maintaining rigorous crew competency assurance in line with STCW and client requirements.
  • Developing the next generation of officers and leaders through targeted technical and leadership training.
  • Supporting seafarer welfare and mental health, including crew engagement sessions held whenever operational schedules allow.
  • Building cohesive multinational crews founded on mutual respect and a shared commitment to safety.
Operating with integrity and accountability

Governance

Operating with integrity and accountability

Our clients operate within highly regulated environments and rightly expect the same level of discipline from their marine service providers. We are committed to the highest standards of transparency and ethical conduct, supported by a robust compliance framework and clear lines of accountability. Our sustainability performance is reported through structured, verifiable data, providing our clients and stakeholders with confidence in the integrity of our operations.

Key initiatives

  • Capturing, managing and reporting fleet ESG data through the ESG Xpress platform.
  • Maintaining full compliance with flag state, classification society and IMO requirements.
  • Applying rigorous standards of ethical conduct across all commercial and chartering activities.
  • Partnering with suppliers and service providers that meet our standards for safety, quality and responsible practice.

Community

Supporting the Seafaring Community

As an offshore operator, we recognise our responsibility towards the wider seafaring community. Through our support for The Mission to Seafarers, we help provide essential welfare services, while our shore-based teams contribute their time to volunteering and community initiatives throughout the year.
