Back where her journey began: Stanford Buzzard returns to East Africa
Stanford Buzzard has commenced a new charter in Pemba, Mozambique, with MLPP (Mozambique Logistics Project Partners), the joint venture between ABC Maritime AG and Transportes Lalgy, supporting the country's offshore oil and gas industry.
It's a homecoming. One of the largest PSVs in our fleet, Stanford Buzzard began her first charter in East Africa after delivery in 2011 and stayed in the region until the contract ended in December 2014. Nearly 12 years later, she is back.
Her return reflects where we want to go as a business. Alongside Stanford Hawk's recent long-term assignment in India, it shows our growth beyond the Middle East, where we are well established. Our focus is on building a lasting presence through the right projects, clients and local partnerships, and on relationships that continue well beyond a single charter. Each new region broadens our client base and gives us more flexibility in deploying the fleet.
Mozambique's offshore sector has significant potential, and we want to be part of its development. This charter is a starting point, and we hope to build on it with MLPP, ABC Maritime and Transportes Lalgy.
Wishing Stanford Buzzard and her crew a safe, successful charter back where her journey began.
